‘De-Stress’ event will celebrate end of year

Organizers hope the annual “De-Stress at Spring Send-Off” event, which will take place on Thursday, April 20 from 4–7:30 p.m. at the university’s Student Fitness Center, can serve as a fun way for students to wrap up another academic year.

The free event is presented by the Student Alumni Leadership Council, University Recreation, and Student Government Association in an effort to provide students with the opportunity to celebrate together and take their mind off looming finals.

“The University RecreationDepartment, in collaboration with a variety of student services areas, are proud to host this final opportunity to make memories, de-stress, and have fun,” Deanna Blevins, director of university recreation, said in a statement.

Students who attend can look for- ward to participating in a variety of indoor activities, including massages an obstacle course and free food, including a donut bar from Duck Donuts. A limited number of “Class of 2023” t-shirts will also be available. Organizers say inflatable sports will also be offered, as will a henna tattoo artist. Students can also make their own friendship bracelets, flower pots and mocktails at various craft stations.

Furthermore, all visitors will have the chance to win one of several prize bundles through a raffle, including gift certificates, swag baskets and more.

The Titan Dining Room will be closed for dinner service during this event.
